What a way to end the season with a Big win and recognition of our veterans.

Chief Master Sergeant Joshua Vance enlisted in the Air Force in July 2001. During his 22-year career, he excelled in many different leadership roles at the squadron, group and major command levels. He possesses extensive joint service experience, having deployed globally in support of combat and humanitarian missions for Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom,

Chief Vance resides in Annapolis, Maryland, prioritizing his time around his wife, Dayana, and their two sons, Gabriel and Noah.

What a day of giving for Warrior Events at Walter Reed Medical Center with the partnership of Subway of Annapolis. We distributed 100 lunches to the warrior patients and families….. so powerful.

Always a great evening at the Blues Game to recognize our military.
Captain Jennifer L. Thurston, Medical Service Corps, U.S. Army (Retired), began her military journey through the Vermont Army National Guard, completing Basic Combat Training in 1988. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Vermont in 1994 as a first-generation college graduate and was commissioned May 2009.
Captain Thurston earned the
• Army Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster,
• Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal,
• Global War on Terrorism Ribbon with silver star,
• Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal,
• Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal with four bronze oak leaf clusters,
• Army Achievement Medal with four oak leaf clusters
Beyond her uniformed service, Captain Thurston maintains extensive civilian affiliations within the veteran and service community. And, in May of 2026 she earned her Master’s in Film & Media Arts from American University.

Annapolis Blues Veteran Recognition at the game,honored to recognize, CAPT Densham,

She served in a range of sea and shore assignments. She currently serves as the Assistance Deputy Commandant for Professional Development at the USNA.
CAPT Densham’s sea duty assignments have been in both the Atlantic and Pacific Fleets. She served as the Commanding and Executive Officer of Naval Beach Unit 7, Department Head N3 at Destroyer Squadron 24, and the Operations Officer in USS DOYLE. She completed all Division Officer tours in USS LASSEN as the Administrative, Electrical and Combat Information Center Officer.
Ashore, she served at the Surface Warfare Officers School Command as a Department Head instructor and as an exchange officer with the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force in London, England.
CAPT Densham’s decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and other personal, unit and campaign awards. She is married to LtCdr (ret) Martin Densham, Royal Navy. They have three children, Rose, Eva and Peter.

Another great night Sunday at the Annapolis Blues at Naval Academy Stadium in recognition of our military Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Swedlow
U.S. Army
LTC (R) Andrew D Swedlow was commissioned from the Reserve Officer Training Corps as a Military Intelligence 2nd LT in May of 2000. During his time in service, he deployed to Kosovo, Afghanistan, 3 times in Iraq.
