Are you an active senior, age 55 and older, who wants to volunteer, take classes, learn a new craft? Or do you need help with an aging parent or spouse, or know someone who does? You can get help from the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities. The department offers a range of programs for the active to the very frail senior, including seven senior centers throughout the county o
pen five days a week. Enjoy classes, entertainment, trips, meals, and friendship with other seniors. Additionally DOAD offers nutrition sites, free van transportation, Foster Grandparent and Friendly Visitor programs, counseling on Medicare and Medicaid insurance, housing information, respite and caregiver support, adult nursing evaluations, care partnerships, and disability services (for adults age 18 and up).
