The Light House provides homelessness prevention and support services to individuals and families struggling to meet their basic needs. For over three decades we have been steadfast in our mission of rebuilding lives with compassion by providing shelter and services to prevent homelessness and empower people as they transition towards employment, housing, and self-sufficiency.

We’re collecting new or gently worn men’s and women’s sneakers to support community members experiencing homelessness. Donations can make a meaningful difference for individuals walking long distances each day to access shelter, meals, work, and resources.

We often talk about the importance of meeting basic needs, but sometimes, it’s the smallest items that make the biggest difference. 💙

For individuals without stable housing, daily life often means walking long distances and standing for hours at a time. Socks wear out quickly and are difficult to keep clean and dry, making a new pair essential for many.

So, we’re incredibly grateful to Bombas for donating 7,000 pairs of socks to support our neighbors facing homelessness -- Thank you for supporting our community and helping us make a real impact for the neighbors we serve!

Skill-based volunteer groups play a vital role in this work by offering their services that support and strengthen our space in many meaningful ways. From power washing to legal support, haircuts, and performances, every act of service truly makes a difference.
