In Maryland, Governor Hogan has made it a priority to advocate for redistricting reform, taking the redistricting power away from the legislature and putting it into the hands of an independent commission. Democratic State Senator Conway, seen in this PBS profile, vehemently disagrees, as does her Republican counterpart, interviewed in North Carolina. We need to stand up for redistricting reform in all gerrymandered areas, whether they favor Democrats or they favor Republicans.
