The 2026 Atlantic hurricane season begins today and runs through Nov. 30. 🌪️

In preparation, Naval District Washington has set Tropical Cyclone Condition of Readiness (TCCOR) 5 across all Navy installations and activities within the NDW area of responsibility.

Do you know your TCCOR? Understanding each readiness level is key to knowing what actions to take before, during, and after severe weather events. While the region remains at TCCOR 5 throughout hurricane season, the NDW Commandant may direct changes to TCCOR levels as weather conditions warrant.

Stay informed, review your emergency plans, and be ready.
