๐Ÿ๐ŸŒฟ They're baaaaack! ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ‘

Greenbury Point's hardest-working landscapers have officially returned!

A herd of 18 goats and sheep is back on the job, helping the Navy tackle invasive vines and shrubs along approximately 4 acres of shoreline. These four-legged groundskeepers provide a natural, environmentally friendly way to restore habitat by eating invasive vegetation while leaving native plants largely untouched.

This isn't their first assignment, either! NSA Annapolis pioneered animal grazing for invasive species control back in 2013, and thanks to its success, the goats have become some of Greenbury Point's most anticipated seasonal visitors.

If you're visiting Greenbury Point over the next 5โ€“7 weeks, you may spot them hard at work.

๐Ÿ‘€ Feel free to watch from a safe distance, but please remember:

๐Ÿ These are working animals.

๐Ÿšซ Do not enter their fenced work area or attempt to feed or pet them.

๐Ÿ• Keep pets on a leash at all times.

Thank you for helping us protect both our natural resources and our newest "employees!"
