Yesterday, I was honored to attend the Memorial Day commemoration at Perry Hall American Legion Post 130, along with County Executive Kathy Klausmeier, Delegate Nick Allen, Delegate Kathy Szeliga, Councilman David Marks, veterans, and community leaders.

We came together to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. Freedom is never free, and their courage will never be forgotten.

What an incredible day celebrating Sakela Parba right here in Baltimore County! It was my absolute honor, on behalf of the Maryland General Assembly and District 8, to welcome thousands of friends and community members.

The energy, the vibrant Rai traditions, the music, and of course, the delicious food made it a festival to remember. Standing on that stage, I saw the spirit of unity and heritage shining bright. Thank you Bhutanese Kirat Rai Organization of America for making this celebration so special!

We are pleased to award the 2026 Delegates and Senatorial Scholarships to hundreds of students in our district.

Yesterday evening, I attended the Kenwood High School Awards Ceremony along with my state colleagues to celebrate outstanding students.

As the District 8 delegation, Sen. Jackson, Delegate Ross, Delegate Allen, and I are committed to supporting our students through the 2026 Delegate and Senatorial Scholarship Program.

Congratulations to all scholarship recipients and their families. Your hard work and dedication make our community proud.

A motorcycle and vehicle collision has occurred at the entrance to Belair Beltway Plaza on southbound Belair Road/Route 1 near Fowler Avenue.
Emergency crews are on scene, and southbound traffic is currently being diverted through the Belair Beltway Plaza access road. Please expect delays, proceed cautiously, and use alternate routes if possible.
