BCM Fall Retreat 2025 • Created & Called
This weekend reminded us that God writes purpose into every heartbeat.
Before the world began, He chose us, loved us, and called us (Ephesians 1).
We were dead in sin, but God — rich in mercy — made us alive in Christ and prepared good works for us long before we knew His name (Ephesians 2).
And yet…
God promises abundantly more, but we settle for shockingly less.
We were not just saved — we were sent. Called into a mission bigger than ourselves.
So we respond:
Draw Near. Hold Fast. Lock Arms. Fear God. Lean In.
Because the God who began a good work in us will finish it (Philippians 1:6).
We carry that calling with us now — because the vision starts here,
but the growing comes when we walk it out in the valley.

Join us tonight for worship and a continued study of 1 Corinthians!! In case you missed last week, here’s a recap from 1 Corinthians 5 & 6:

Grace and truth are the two legs we run on as we follow Jesus.

No one sets out to have a spiritual collapse, but all external collapses start with small inward compromises.

We all have attractions, we all have temptations. We follow Jesus by fleeing sexual temptation. It is our identity in Christ that drives our feet to Christ.

God loves you
He forgives you
Your heart posture toward Jesus now matters more than your past failures. The humble always find the help they need.

Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flows the springs of life - Proverbs 4:23

In August, we kicked off the semester with a fellowship lunch at the BCM house — good food, great conversations, and even better company.
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
— Acts 2:42 (NIV)
We’re thankful for the moments that remind us we’re not walking through this semester alone. We are grateful for the community God is building here.
