A true public servant.
I filed to run for the state Senate on June 29th, 2017. Over the 361 days since, I've walked every neighborhood in District 30, met incredible neighbors, and had heartwarming discussions about what matters most to our community: expanding affordable childcare, increasing mental health services, protecting our blue crab population, supporting union apprenticeship programs, investing in public schools and reducing classroom sizes, and so much more. We've documented these stories - and you can follow them - using the hashtag .
Before I started this journey a wise friend told me that, win or lose, the best part of running for office is getting to know your community in a way no other exercise could ever allow. I'm proud to report that she was completely right.
Thank you to the thousands of people I've met along the way. Thank you for inviting me into your living rooms and kitchen tables. Thank you for trusting me with the issues that matter most to you and your families. A campaign is just one giant listening tour - and I've listened every step of the way. It would be the honor of my life to represent you and be your voice in the Senate. I humbly ask for your vote tomorrow!
