Great news! Pip Moyer Rec Center is now open until 9pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Proud to have led the effort to extend the hours. Thank you to my council colleagues and Director Archie Trader for supporting this important initiative that will allow greater access to members, residents, and especially for our community's youth.

“Perhaps the seeds of redemption lay not just in perseverance, hard work, and rugged individualism. Perhaps they lay in something more fundamental—the simple notion of everyone pitching in and pulling together.”
- Daniel James Brown, The Boys in the Boat.

Our community’s heart is broken with today’s terrible tragedy at The Capital. I am praying for the victims and their families, co-workers, and friends.

You hear of these horrendous incidents happen across the country and never fully realize how close to home one can hit. It happened in our home town - this senseless act of terror happened to outstanding journalism professionals who keep our community informed and our city officials in check with the passion and integrity that makes Annapolis the loving community that we know it to be.

I’m thankful for our courageous first responders who got to the scene in 60 seconds and prevented further devastation.

A true public servant.

I filed to run for the state Senate on June 29th, 2017. Over the 361 days since, I've walked every neighborhood in District 30, met incredible neighbors, and had heartwarming discussions about what matters most to our community: expanding affordable childcare, increasing mental health services, protecting our blue crab population, supporting union apprenticeship programs, investing in public schools and reducing classroom sizes, and so much more. We've documented these stories - and you can follow them - using the hashtag .

Before I started this journey a wise friend told me that, win or lose, the best part of running for office is getting to know your community in a way no other exercise could ever allow. I'm proud to report that she was completely right.

Thank you to the thousands of people I've met along the way. Thank you for inviting me into your living rooms and kitchen tables. Thank you for trusting me with the issues that matter most to you and your families. A campaign is just one giant listening tour - and I've listened every step of the way. It would be the honor of my life to represent you and be your voice in the Senate. I humbly ask for your vote tomorrow!

My mom always said: “Surround yourself by good people and get behind good causes.” Blessed to call Polly Peters a friend, and thank you for mobilizing this incredibly important effort.

Rodriguez, alongside local attorneys Polly Peters and Eileen Powers, will make a trip to Dilley, Texas on August 19 to assist people at the South Texas Family Residential Center, the largest family detention center in the United States.

Endorsements don't vote - but they certainly show who shares your values and who is ready to serve on day one.

Early voting begins tomorrow! I humbly ask for your vote as I fight for a cleaner Bay, stronger schools, and economy that works for all!

Thinking of our neighbors on Gentry Court yesterday whose townhouse caught fire when lightning struck. I spoke with the residents, Robert and Jean, and thankfully no one was injured. Thank you to the incredible response and professionalism of the City of Annapolis Fire Department!
