Este fin de semana, Chispa Maryland participó en la celebración de Langley Park Day — un hermoso recordatorio del poder y la riqueza de nuestras comunidades. Desde música y bailes hasta recursos comunitarios y conversaciones con vecinos, fue increíble compartir este espacio juntos. 🌎🎉

Tuvimos el honor de convivir con residentes, familias y líderes locales, incluyendo al Senador Malcolm L. Augustine y a la Delegada Deni Taveras del condado de Prince George’s. Gracias a todas las personas que visitaron nuestra mesa, compartieron sus historias y aprendieron más sobre la lucha por aire limpio, agua limpia y comunidades más saludables para todos. 💧⚡️

This weekend, Chispa Maryland joined the Langley Park Day celebration — a beautiful reminder of the power and richness of our communities. From music and dancing to local resources and conversations with neighbors, it was amazing to be in community together. 🌎🎉

We were honored to connect with residents, families, and local leaders including Senator Malcolm L. Augustine and Delegada Deni Taveras from Prince George’s County.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, shared stories, and learned more about the fight for clean air, clean water, and healthier communities for all. 💧⚡️

Ayer celebramos el Día de la Tierra conectando con nuestra comunidad y compartiendo por qué la justicia ambiental es tan importante 💚🌎

Pasamos el día informando y educando a las familias sobre los beneficios de los autobuses escolares eléctricos: cómo ayudan a reducir la contaminación del aire, proteger la salud de nuestros niños y crear un futuro más limpio para todos. Fue inspirador conversar con tantas personas de la comunidad que se preocupan por la salud de nuestros vecindarios y de nuestro planeta.

Gracias a todas las personas que se acercaron, hicieron preguntas y mostraron su apoyo. ¡Juntos estamos construyendo un futuro más saludable y sostenible para nuestros niños! ✨

Yesterday we celebrated Earth Day by connecting with our community and sharing why environmental justice matters 💚🌎

We spent the day informing and educating families about the benefits of electric school buses—how they help reduce air pollution, protect our children’s health, and create a cleaner future for everyone. It was inspiring to talk with so many community members who care about the health of our neighborhoods and our planet.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and showed support. Together we’re building a healthier and more sustainable future for our kids! ✨

El Programa de Buses Escolares Limpios, fue creado para evitar que los niños viajen en autobuses escolares diésel contaminantes, y ha funcionado. Gracias a este programa, miles de autobuses escolares eléctricos llevan a los niños a las escuelas cada mañana. Ayuda a que esta campaña continúe. Haz que tu voz sea escuchada.

Yesterday, Promotoras from Chispa Maryland and other supporters of the CHERISH Act greeted legislators at Lawyer's Mall in Annapolis.

Passage of the CHERISH Act would modernize Maryland’s permitting system to more accurately reflect people's lived experiences and protect communities like Andy's that are already overburdened.
