On June 6, 1944, Allied forces launched Operation Overlord and stormed the beaches of Normandy, beginning the liberation of Western Europe.

Today, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and resolve of those who took part in D-Day and honor the legacy of a generation that changed the course of history. Their bravery and resolve continues to inspire generations of Sailors and Marines.⚓

The Parachute Team conducted a demonstration jump and spoke with candidates attending Summer Seminar.

Following the demo, candidates got a behind-the-scenes look at how team members pack their parachutes and learned more about one of the most unique opportunities available at USNA. It was a great chance to showcase the team, share their experiences, and answer questions about life as a midshipman.

From June 1-14, Hill Bridge will be closed to all vehicle traffic

⚠️ TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Hill Bridge Vehicle Closure ⚠️

From June 1 to June 14, Hill Bridge will be closed to all vehicle traffic due to a nearby construction project.

🚶 Pedestrians may continue to use the bridge during this period.

To help maintain access across the installation:

🔹 Gate 1 and Gate 8 will remain open 24/7 for vehicle access from June 1 to June 14.

Vehicle access routes during the closure:
🚗 Lower Yard access (south of College Creek) — via Gate 1
🚗 Upper Yard access (north of College Creek) — via Gate 8

📍 Hill Bridge connects the Upper and Lower Yard across College Creek.

Please plan for additional travel time and follow posted traffic control measures.
