The mission of Children’s Services, Inc. is to serve children through the Parris Home For Children, a residential home for abused and neglected children, and in licensed day care facilities so they will have a safe, secure and nurturing environment to help develop a healthy and safe lifestyle. began providing emergency shelter home services in 1974. It was and still is the only home of its kind in

Calhoun County. The home was named the Parris Home in 1998 in honor of Mrs. Louise “Bee” Parris who served as agency director for twenty seven years. It is a home that offers unconditional love and acceptance to boys ages six to twenty one. It is one of the few residential homes in the State that accepts children with destructive behaviors. The goal of the home is to prove to every child who enters the door that he is worthy of love and respect and that they can go to sleep each night without fear of being abused or neglected. Without safety, stability, and nurturing, the children cannot begin to recover from the trauma of abuse and neglect suffered in their lives. For Children’s Services, Inc. to continue providing the love, safety, and security for the victims of child abuse and neglect, we must have continued financial support from the community.
