We'll be out and about this weekend, Calhoun County! 😎

If you're attending the Publix Woodstock 5K tomorrow morning, some of the Chamber staff will be participating in the race to promote Visit Calhoun County, Alabama and the Calhoun County Area Chamber & Visitor's Center, so be sure to say hello and cheer them on! 🏃‍♀️

We'll also be at the Anniston City Meeting Center from 9 AM to 12 PM for the Pediatric Care Center of Northeast Alabama's Back to School event promoting our Youth Entrepreneur Program for the 2026 - 2027 school year. If you know a child who is currently running their own business and wants to grow as an entrepreneur, this is their chance to learn from a Chamber member Mentor! Every day, hundreds of our military personnel leave the service in search of civilian employment. On July 25th, National Hire a Veteran Day reminds employers to consider veterans to fill their open positions. As highly trained, qualified individuals, they are ideal for numerous trades.

Please take a moment to honor our men and women of the Armed Forces. Offering them your time and consideration in the civilian workforce is one of the best ways to do that.

As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, our community has the opportunity to help create the Pieces of America – 250th Community Mosaic. Whether you're an experienced artist or simply want to leave your mark, everyone is welcome to paint a tile that will become part of this incredible public artwork.

The completed mural will be unveiled on Saturday, August 15 at 9 AM in Noble Street Park, becoming another meaningful stop along Calhoun County's growing mural trail.
