🚒 SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT! 🚒

We’ve recently had several members of our community reach out asking how they can make a donation to Quad Cities Volunteer Fire Department.

First and foremost, THANK YOU! Your support means more to us than you know. As a volunteer fire department, donations from our community help us purchase and maintain the equipment, gear, and supplies we need to continue serving and protecting our neighbors.

If you would like to make a donation, checks can be mailed to:

📬 QCVFD
P.O. Box 80
Choccolocco, AL 36254

No donation is too small, and every dollar helps us better serve our community.

Thank you for supporting the men and women who volunteer their time to answer the call when our community needs us most. 🚒🔥

We appreciate each and every one of you!

Please feel free to share this post to help us spread the word!

A Friendly Reminder from Your Local Fire Department

We appreciate everyone who comes out to support events at the community center, and we’re grateful to be part of such a great community.

We do want to ask for everyone’s help with one very important safety issue.

Please DO NOT park in front of the fire station bay doors or in any area marked with yellow striped lines. Those areas are designated as NO PARKING zones for a reason.

When an emergency call comes in, every second matters. Fire engines and response vehicles must be able to leave the station immediately without having to wait for personal vehicles to be moved or maneuver around parked cars. Even a short delay can have serious consequences when someone is depending on us.

The yellow striped areas are not extra parking spaces—they are safety zones that provide the clearance our emergency vehicles need to safely enter and exit the station.

If you’re attending an event, please take a moment to park in a designated parking space, even if it means a slightly longer walk. That small inconvenience could make a life-saving difference for someone in our community.

Thank you for helping us keep our firefighters, personnel, and the citizens we serve safe. Your cooperation ensures we’re ready to respond when our community needs us most.
We truly appreciate your support and understanding.

Kinder Morgan/Southern Natural Gas will conduct a planned natural gas flaring operation near the intersection of Highway 9 and Cottaquilla Road in White Plains beginning tomorrow Wednesday, July 15, and continuing through Thursday, July 16. If needed, the operation may also continue on Friday, July 17. This schedule is weather dependent.

During this controlled operation, residents may notice a large flame and smoke plume that may be visible from a considerable distance. Flaring is a safe, industry-standard process used to burn off natural gas in a controlled manner.

The flaring will occur only during daylight hours and may start and stop intermittently depending on pipeline operations. Kinder Morgan crews will be on site throughout the operation and will closely monitor the process.

This is an expected, controlled operation and is not an emergency. If you see the flame or smoke in this area during the scheduled dates, there is no need to report it.
