Big things are happening at the Adult Dental Clinic. Earlier this week, the move began.

Our team packed up the clinic on Gurnee Avenue and started settling into its new home at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.

There's a lot that goes into a move like this. Chairs, tools, files, and a whole lot of care, all finding their place again. We're working hard to get everything set up so we can keep doing what this clinic has always done: provide free tooth extractions for uninsured adults right here in Calhoun County.

We'll let you know just as soon as we're ready to welcome patients in the new space. Stay tuned, neighbors.

Following along as the new clinic comes together? Give us a follow and share this post with someone who might need us.

A whole car load of medical equipment, delivered with a smile.

Pam Robertson dropped off this generous donation on behalf of her uncle, Bill Batchelor. A CPAP disinfecting system. Bags full of supplies. All of it headed back out to neighbors right here in Calhoun County who need it.

This is the heart of our Durable Medical Equipment program. Items donated by one family go right back out to another. A wheelchair leaves with someone heading home from the hospital. A shower chair makes a caregiver's job a little easier. A CPAP supply means someone breathes a little better tonight. Nothing wasted. Everyone served.

Thank you, Pam and Bill. Your kindness is already on its way to someone's good day.

Have medical equipment you no longer need? Bring it by 1431 Gurnee Ave, Suite A, Monday through Thursday. We'll make sure it finds the neighbor who needs it next.

The Anniston Lions Club showed up with a big donation of sandwiches last week, and we are so grateful. These went straight to neighbors who needed a good meal.

The Lions have been serving this community for a long time, and partners like them are how the work gets done. When folks pitch in together, more people get fed. It really is that simple.

Thank you, Anniston Lions Club, and a special thanks to Ashley Mitchell and Savana Wood for bringing it by. We are proud to serve right alongside you.

Want to help feed your neighbors too? Give us a call at 256-237-1472 or stop by 1431 Gurnee Ave.

This is what partnership looks like in Calhoun County.

Nanette Mudiam, director of St. Michael's Medical Clinic, came by Interfaith last week to pick up a load of orthopedic boots, braces, and recovery aids, all headed straight to St. Michael's clients who need them.

This is the way it's supposed to work. One neighbor donates. We coordinate. A sister agency distributes. A third neighbor heals a little easier. Every step in the chain is a hand-off, and every hand-off is a kindness.

Thank you, Nanette, and thank you to the whole team at St. Michael's Clinic. We are so glad to walk this work together for our Calhoun County neighbors.

Have orthopedic boots, walkers, braces, or other medical equipment you no longer need? Drop it by 1431 Gurnee Ave, Suite A, Monday through Thursday. We'll make sure it finds a home.

Quick heads up, neighbors.

Some suspicious emails are going around that look like they are from us. If you receive an email from Interfaith Ministries asking you to review or open a document, or to click a link you were not expecting, please do not open it. Go ahead and delete it.

Our team is aware and already working to get things cleaned up.

When in doubt, you can always call our office at 256-237-1472 and we will be glad to confirm whether something truly came from us. Thank you for looking out for one another, and please share so the word gets around.

Please help us give a warm welcome to one of our newest board members.

Dr. Morgan Gibson joined the Interfaith Ministries board this past January, and we are so glad she did. Morgan owns Gibson Family Dentistry right here in Anniston, and she has not waited around to get involved. She is already volunteering with our Adult Dental Clinic and lending a hand with Meals on Wheels.

Ask Morgan why she serves and the answer is simple. "It serves the local needs of people." She carries a special heart for children in need, and her faith, rooted in her church home at Church of the Highlands, is at the heart of why she shows up for her neighbors.

Here is a fun one. Morgan tells us she is a skilled gift wrapper. Something tells us that will come in awfully handy when Christmas Clearing House rolls around.

Welcome to the family, Dr. Gibson. We are better with you in it.

Comment below and help us welcome Morgan to Interfaith Ministries.

Our neighbors at The Open Door need a hand, y’all.

Right now we’re short on men’s jeans, sizes 30 to 38. These go straight to folks who come through for a shower and fresh clothes, the kind of thing that helps somebody start the day with a little dignity.

If you’ve got a pair gathering dust in a closet, we’d love to have them. New or gently used, both work just fine.

You can drop them by our office at 1431 Gurnee Ave in Anniston, Monday through Thursday. Or share this post so it finds someone ready to clean out a drawer.

Thank you for looking out for your neighbors. It matters more than you know.

This is what showing up looks like.

Becky, Pat, and Cathy are three of the volunteers who make shower mornings at The Open Door possible. Every Tuesday and Thursday volunteers like them are here early, sorting fresh clothes, laying out toiletries, and welcoming our neighbors with the kind of warmth that can turn a hard morning into a hopeful one.

Thank you, ladies for the quiet, faithful work that holds this place together.

Big news from our Adult Dental Clinic.

We are on the move. Our dental clinic is temporarily closed while we relocate to a brand new home on the 3rd floor of Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.

This is a wonderful step forward for the neighbors we serve. The updated facilities will give our team more room to provide quality care.

Our team is working hard to get the new clinic ready as quickly as possible. We will keep you posted right here, every step of the way, all the way through to the day we reopen our doors.

We're running low on men's underwear, sizes medium and large, for the neighbors we serve at The Open Door. It's a small thing. It's also one of the most-requested items on our shelves, and one of the hardest to keep in stock.

If you can grab a pack on your next grocery run, we'd be so grateful.
