Finishing up SECTIONAL swim meet🙌🏻

First time in ABST HISTORY

These four (along with entire team) have worked so hard!

When I came on deck right before Christmas, I asked all the seniors about their goals for ending the season… common response was, “ending? We’re just starting! We want to go to southeasterns” …. As you all know that crushed that goal and landed at sectionals🙌🏻

Not only that, but these four have put in the hard work and long practices. They also qualified for 2022 AGE GROUP NATIONALS!

Stephanie Oblena, your swim family loves you and we are so proud of you!

Y’all be sure to tell Coach Steph how proud we are and how much we will miss her! She will leaving the end of summer and off to college.

•ABST TOOK ON THE SE SWIM MEET•

As their coach, I couldn’t be more proud of them this weekend.

When I gave them a goal time to beat, THEY CRUSHED IT. well beyond the expectations!

Logan competed in 50 Free(dropping.73) , 50 fly (dropping .94) & 50BK (drooping .72)

Luke competed in 50 fly (dropping 1.53) & 100 fly (dropping 6.55)

They have been working HARD for two years to reach these goals of being able to compete in Southeastern Swimming!!!

Y’all have put in the hard work & dedication and it’s paid off!!! You should be proud of yourself. Your team, coaches, families and parents are!

Overall the team did great! We had lots of new PR’s and great races!!

Luke is a hard working kid! He’s sweet, polite and smart. I can’t say enough great things about him.

Luke has been swimming with us for a few years now. Coming to practice, going to meets and REALLY working towards his goals. He’s had this dream for a year or so to make it southeasterns (a really big championship meet!)

There are teams in our state and beyond that bring many swimmers to this qualifying meet every year, however, being a small team in an area where swimming is not as BIG!

SO CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SECOND SWIMMER TO QUALIFY WITH ABST, Luke!

I can’t tell him enough how proud I am to help him reach this incredible goal! He not only qualified in one event, but also received a bonus qualifying time as well!

This weekend has been a big one for our small city team! Everyone did great and as a team we came out 5th out of 14 teams!
