Today marks the end of this year's National Police Week. Throughout this week, community members, businesses, and community leaders show immense amount of support and appreciation to the Law Enforcement members, current and retired, in this area.

Every year, this week concludes with a memorial ceremony at the Alabama Law Enforcement Memorial at Centennial Park in Anniston. This ceremony recognizes and honors those officers who have given the ultimate sacrifice of their lives to protect their brothers and sisters in blue and the members of their local communities.

We greatly appreciate all the support shown to us this week, and we will continue to honor those who have sacrificed themselves while wearing the badge to serve and protect. We here at the Anniston Police Department thank our officers for their willingness to serve and will continue to strive daily to serve and protect our community to the best of our ability. Thank you all for your support and God Bless!

APD would like to thank our local Salvation Army for providing treats to our officers today during National Police Week!...

The Anniston Police Department would like to welcome its newest four-legged member, K9 Grimm. K9 Grimm replaces one of our recently retired dogs and is pictured here with his handler, Officer Masiak. K9 Grimm is a Dutch Shepherd who is trained in narcotics detection, tracking, and article searches.

These two are already on the streets working hard to keep our streets safer and cleaner! Welcome to the team Grimm!
