๐Ÿš’ What does a busy 24 hours look like for our volunteers? Let us show you.

Yesterday morning, a group of our members had the pleasure of welcoming kids from Luthercare for Kids to the station! The little ones got an up-close look at our gear and fire trucks, and our volunteers talked with them about fire safety.

Yesterday evening, it was time to hit the training ground. Members broke into two groups: probationary members worked on fundamentals such as ladder throws and proper ladder placement while experienced firefighters ran through real-world scenarios that involved pulling charged hand lines and fire suppression.

Then, this morning, Rescue 58 and Tower 58 were dispatched to the third-alarm fire in Lebanon City. Crews were on scene for several hours before returning to the station. Thanks to Brickerville Volunteer Fire Company for standing by at the Annville station and covering our first due during this time.

A special shout out goes to Lieutenant Shawn Hoyer who showed up for all three: the preschool visit, the training and the Lebanon City response. That's the definition of a dedicated volunteer. ๐Ÿ‘

To all of our members who gave their time over the past 24 hours: thank you!

On June 1, 2026, at 4:23 a.m., the Annville Cleona Fire Department, along with numerous mutual aid agencies, was dispatched to the 200 block of West Main Street in Annville Township for a reported commercial structure fire. Lebanon County 911 received multiple calls reporting a fire at the Corvette Grill and Bar.
First-arriving units encountered heavy fire conditions in the kitchen area of the building, with flames extending to the second floor. Due to the volume of fire and the need for additional personnel, a second alarm was immediately requested, followed by a third alarm to provide additional manpower.
After confirming that all occupants of the adjoining apartments had safely evacuated, incident commanders established a strategic objective of confining the fire to the original fire building. Firefighters successfully contained and extinguished the fire before it could spread to adjoining structures.
Two residents from adjoining apartments were evaluated and treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. No firefighters or other occupants sustained injuries.
As a result of the incident, three families were displaced. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal.

The Annville Cleona Fire Department is actively recruiting new volunteers. We provide all necessary training and equipment to prepare you to safely and confidently respond to emergencies like this one.

Our community did something incredible yesterday ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

For countless years, the Kiwanis Club put American flags on display along Penn Avenue for patriotic holidays. Due to the lack of volunteers, age, and many other factors, it hasnโ€™t happened for at least five years. Yesterday, we brought it back.

Starting at 5:45 AM, about twenty volunteers from the Annville Cleona Fire Department and AC community showed up to help install the flags. In the evening, twenty more came back to help us retrieve them.

Iโ€™m beyond proud to live in a community that not only appreciates hometown pride, but shows up to let it grow for all generations to experience.

Thank you to the morning and evening flag crews for your dedication and interest that made this possible!

Though we all share our differences, we stand united when it matters. This is why I love Cleona.

The flagpole at our Annville station is aged and needed some replacement parts in order to fly the flag again. Fortunately, getting somewhere high off the ground isnโ€™t an issue for us.

Old Glory is flying once again! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Today was 6th Grade Service Day for Annville-Cleona School District students. Both stations hosted about 15 students each, and they did a wide array of tasks like washing the apparatus, rolling hose, cleaning the station, and more! ๐Ÿš’

With some time left, students got to try on bunker gear, flow water from a fire hose, and explore the fire trucks.

Thank you, Annville Elementary, for sending these dedicated students our way! We hope to have them back as junior firefighters in a few years ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿš’
