Mark McDonough established McDonough K9 in 2000. Mark has worked as a police officer for the past 32 years and has 22 years of experience as a Police K9 Handler. During his time as a K9 handler, he has worked four dogs. McDonough K9 provides high quality working dogs for use in police agencies. We select and import dogs from the Czech Republic. Depending upon our client's need, we offer fully trai
ned Patrol dogs or green working dogs suitable for police work. We specialize in single and dual purpose canines. Dogs from McDonough K9 are trained according to USPCA Standards and excel in Tracking, Area searches, Building searches, Article Search/Evidence Recovery, and Criminal apprehension. Detector dogs are trained to passively alert to odors of Ma*****na, Methamphetamine, He**in, Crack, and Co***ne. We also offer Explosive Detection dogs. If you would rather train a dog on your own or have a different trainer in mind, no problem, we would be happy to provide you with a green dog ready for training. Staff at McDonough K9 regularly hold basic Police K9 Handler training. Regardless if your canine is provided by McDonough K9 or from a different vendor, we would be honored to provide your handler with training as well.
