Town & Country Women's Fair, in conjunction with the Texas Farm Ranch & Wildlife Expo, is this week. Come join us on Thursday, February 27th at 8:00 a.m. for a fun day of education, shopping and fellowship. We will be at the Expo Center in the Capital Farm Credit Display Building.

Join us today at the New Beginnings Church in Hamlin. This is a come and go event where a certified car seat technician will inspect your car seat, making sure it is secure and a proper fit for your child. Come get those seats checked before all you summer vacations!

This program is designed to help middle school and teenage youth learn what it takes to be a responsible, caring, trustworthy, competent, capable and safe babysitter.

Topics to be covered will be child safety, basic first aid, CPR, stages of child development, child nutrition, entertaining activities, and the business of babysitting. This course is FREE of charge and includes course material, snacks, drinks, and a certificate upon successful completion of the course. Attendees will be responsible for bringing their own lunch.

Community Health Improvement (DSHS PHR 2/3) & Global CPR Training have partnered with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension to provide a free, 1.5-hour awareness class on Adult & Infant CPR, AED, and Choking. The class will be held at the Hamlin First Church of the Nazarene, 113 SW Ave C, Hamlin, Texas 79520 on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. This free class is for anyone in the community who would like to learn more about CPR, get hands-on practice, and be prepared in the event of an emergency.
