As Union President, I want to take a moment at the start of EMS Week to recognize the incredible EMTs of ARMS.

Every day, you show up ready to serve this community with professionalism and dedication, no matter how busy the shift gets or how long the day has been. You handle the difficult calls, support one another through the tough moments, and somehow still find ways to keep each other laughing along the way.

This job is not easy, and the sacrifices made by our members and their families do not go unnoticed. I am proud to represent such a hardworking group of EMTs who continue to set the standard every single day.

Thank you for your commitment to this profession, helping to fill my shifts recently 😬, to this union, and most importantly to each other. I hope this EMS Week message reminds you how valued and appreciated you truly are.

Stay safe, enjoy your week, and thank you again for everything that you do!

(I unfortunately don’t have photos of all of you to share with the group….)

We are pleased to share some good news with our members and community. After many months of hard work by everyone involved, our field members now officially have a signed contract with The City of Ansonia!

We also want to acknowledge The City’s recognition of all the hard work our EMS professionals perform, and for continuing the conversations needed to reach this agreement.

Thank you to The City of Ansonia and everyone who supported us along the way.
