🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

Today, we proudly celebrate the 250th year of American Independence, and honor the courage, sacrifice, and spirit that continue to unite our nation. From all of us at Ansonia Rescue Medical Services, we wish you and your loved ones a safe, happy, and memorable Fourth of July!

As you enjoy cookouts, fireworks, and time with family and friends, please keep these safety reminders in mind:

🎆 Fireworks: Leave fireworks to the professionals, please!

💧 Stay Hydrated: Summer heat can be dangerous. Drink plenty of water, take breaks in the shade, and check on children, older adults, and neighbors who may be more vulnerable to the heat.

🚗 Drive Responsibly: Never drive impaired or distracted. Buckle up every trip, designate a sober driver, and be alert for pedestrians and cyclists.

🏊 Water Safety: Never swim alone, supervise children closely around water, and always wear a life jacket when boating.

We hope you have a safe and enjoyable Independence Day, and let's all do our part to make this holiday one filled with great memories.

FYI in case residents are in need of a cooling center during the forecasted heat wave

With the reports of an extreme heat wave fast approaching, Mayor Tyszka will be offering a cooling center to all residents. Dates and times are noted on the flyer. Please keep hydrated and check on your elderly neighbors if you are able.

Saturday evening Assistant Chiefs Hokanson and Blaskewicz, along with representatives from Ansonia Fire Department took part in the annual community cook-off in support of TEAM, Inc. It was a great time for a great cause. We look forward to next year. Special thanks to Mayor Tyszka for stopping by to show his support.
