Celebrate Grandparents Day with us at the Ansonia Library!

Join us on Saturday, September 12 from 11:30 AM–12:30 PM for our Grandparents Day Tea Party! Grandparents, honorary grandparents, and their special kiddos are invited to enjoy tasty treats, drinks, a fun craft, and some sweet time together. 💕☕🍪

We’d like to give a big thank you to Bus Driver Stephanie from All-Star Transportation CT All-Star Transportation CT, Ansonia Public Schools' School Readiness Coordinator, Alyson Stanisci, Parent Ambassador Jacquelyn Parks and Liaison, Ayanna Williams, from Early Childhood Collaborative LGP for joining us at our 4th Annual Storytime on a Bus!
Their kindness and support helped ease some of the big first-day feelings our little friends (and their grownups!) were experiencing as the new school year began. We’re so grateful for their time and care in making this tradition so special!

We have added Boppo to our Toy Library, all thanks to our besties over at Traveling Toys, Inc.! There's nothing better than a new toy to play with during the dog days of summer, so stop in and browse the Toy Library and borrow something from our collection!

Our adult crafters celebrated America’s 250th anniversary by creating adorable patriotic felted hedgehogs! Participants learned the basics of needle felting while transforming soft wool into unique keepsakes. 🇺🇸

💦 SPLASH! What a way to beat the heat! ☀️

Armed with water squirters, reusable water balloons, buckets, and absolutely no rules (except be nice! 😄), the kids spent the afternoon cooling off and soaking just about everyone in sight. It was simple, messy, and exactly the kind of summer fun we were hoping for.

What an incredible two days!!

A huge thank you to The GIANT Room for leading such awesome design camp and to CT State Library Division of Library Development for helping make this opportunity possible.

Our young designers had a wonderful time working together to tackle real-world community challenges using their imaginations, creativity, and problem solving skills. From art and engineering to technology and design, they shared amazing ideas!

We loved watching their confidence grow as they collaborated and created.

Thank you to all of the kids who participated and helped make this program such a success!
