🚨 ICYMI: Ansonia's Fuel Cell Gridlock Has Been Solved 🚨

For years, residents were promised revenue from the fuel cell project. Instead, the project stalled...

❌ The revenue never came.

💸 But the bills did.

When the current administration took office, Ansonia was facing a stalled project, regulatory roadblocks, and millions in debt obligations.

Now, the gridlock has been broken. ⛓️‍💥

✅ The site has been unlocked for development

✅ A path to REAL future revenue has been restored

✅ The city's position has been strengthened

While others spent years making promises and producing no results, this administration took action and delivered a solution. What was stalled is now moving. What was blocked is now advancing. What residents were told would happen is finally becoming reality.

➡️ Ansonia is finally moving forward. See more info here: https://www.cityofansonia.com/fuel-cell

You may have heard about the fuel cell project. Here’s the simple version:

➡️ The previous administration promised us this project would bring in revenue and benefits for Ansonia.

⏸️ Instead, the project stalled for years.

⏹️ The revenue never came in. That $1.6 million listed as revenue?

⏹️ It never materialized.

⏹️ How could it? The fuel cells weren’t even operational.

⏩️ But guess what did come in?

➡️ The bills: $3.04 million, per year.

‼️ That's why this project matters so much.

❌ We, the residents of Ansonia, were left with nothing but the financial consequences.

This video pretty much sums up the “blatant ineptitude” of the Cassetti team.

Now, after years of delay, we’re finally seeing real progress.

Over the past years, we all heard promises about projects that never seemed to get across the finish line. That's why it's encouraging to see real, visible progress at 35 North Main Street.

Thank you to Mayor Frank Tyszka, Ron, and the entire team for getting this work done on schedule and under budget.

We're proud to support a community where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and belonging. Thank you to the City of Ansonia, the Valley PROUD Center, Rep. Kara Rochelle, and all those helping make this celebration possible.

Looking forward to Saturday as we celebrate our LGBTQ+ neighbors, friends, families, and youth. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Ansonia is pleased to celebrate Pride Month! 🌈

City Hall will raise the pride flag alongside the Valley PROUD Center and State Representative Kara Rochelle on Saturday, June 6th at 11AM to honor the LGBTQ+ community. Together we will recognize the importance of dignity, respect, and inclusion. 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️

The flag raising will be followed by a FREE community Chalk Walk in partnership with The Valley Arts Council. There will be ice cream, pizza, music, karaoke, and games from 12:30-3PM in Veteran's Park next to City Hall!

Come join us to celebrate how important it is for everyone, especially our children, to grow up in a world that embraces love and the right to live safely and proudly!❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

We could not agree more.

As someone who has lived in Northeastern Connecticut my entire life, I am deeply embarrassed that our region is drawing statewide, and potentially national, attention for all the wrong reasons. The nomination of a major party candidate who chooses to divide our towns, spread hate, and insult our neighbors is completely tone-deaf to the decent people from all political backgrounds who live here.

The Quiet Corner is a special place. I have always appreciated the fact that I can run into a Republican neighbor at Baker's Dozen, have a conversation about our differing points of view, and walk away with mutual respect. I don’t hate them for having a different opinion, and I like to think they don’t hate me. You can do that with policy debates.

One of the greatest freedoms we celebrate in the United States is the right to live your life exactly the way you want. But when a candidate crosses the line of basic human decency by judging others and plastering irrational, hateful posts about our neighbors, friends, and family across social media, it threatens the very fabric of our community.

I am encouraged by the strong, bipartisan voices, including Republican House leadership, who have stepped up to call out this immature and reckless behavior. I urge everyone to seriously consider the long-term harm this kind of toxic rhetoric does to the cohesiveness of our towns.

We have incredibly serious problems to solve in Connecticut, including the rising cost of healthcare, soaring energy bills, securing sustainable funding for our public schools, and shoring up our critical public safety infrastructure. That is the actual work I was elected to do, and it is the work I look forward to continuing alongside serious, dedicated public officials from across the entire political spectrum.

✅ Something we really appreciate about this current administration is that they genuinely listen when residents raise concerns.

🗣️ That kind of responsiveness matters. Good leadership isn’t just about making decisions; it’s about listening, adjusting when needed, and improving communication based on community feedback.
