SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Ansonville will hold a Special Meeting on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Ansonville Town Hall.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Housing Selection Committee’s intention to restructure the order in which homes are selected for repair or reconstruction under the housing program.
The meeting is open to the public, and all interested citizens are encouraged to attend.

Greetings Town of Ansonville!
Please join us in welcoming our new Utilities Worker, Mike Jones. Mike has successfully completed his 90‑day probationary period and is now officially part of our team. We asked Mike a few fun Q&A questions so everyone could get to know him a little better. Here’s what he had to say:

How long have you worked in utilities?
“Four years, and I enjoy it.”

What would you say about the Town of Ansonville?
“It’s a small town where everybody knows each other and helps out as much as possible.”

What would you like to see change in Ansonville?
“I’d love to see more people coming together for community gatherings.”

What are your hobbies?
“Fishing, hunting, anything to do with baseball, and spending time with my kids and grandkids.”

What’s a fun fact about you?
“I’ve been coaching baseball for the past ten years. I enjoy talking to people and making them laugh. The first thing I want people to know about me is that I am a Christian.”

Meet Ansonville’s New Utilities Workman: Johnny Young!

The Town of Ansonville is excited to welcome Johnny Young to our team!

Johnny brings over 19 years of experience in utilities and we’re thrilled to have his knowledge and dedication serving our community.During a quick Q&A, we asked Johnny a few questions.

How would you describe Ansonville? Johnny said that Ansonville is a “small, great community looking to expand and develop - it’s a good place to work.

What improvements would you like to achieve? Johnny would love to see updated road signs, cleaner streets, a new utilities shop, a roundabout or a traffic control system at Plank Rd./Ansonville‑Polkton Rd, and Hwy 52.

When you’re off the clock, what do you enjoy doing? When Johnny is off the clock, he enjoys golf, basketball, football, fishing, and swimming.

How do you describe yourself? He describes himself as humble, trustworthy, understanding, and a good listener.

These are qualities we’ve already seen in action and are necessary in his role. He’s committed to completing daily tasks, working as a team, and staying focused and on time.Johnny has already joined staff for dinner and participates in Monday staff meetings. He believes that coming together as a team is essential to keeping the Town moving forward.
