What an amazing day at GHS! We had so much fun at today’s Pep Rally and Midway events. It was great seeing our Panthers come together, show their school spirit, and make some great memories!

And the fun isn’t over yet!

What an amazing night at the GHS Bonfire! 🔥

It was wonderful to see our students, staff, families, and community come together and show their Panther Pride!

A special thank you to Ms. Rocio Reyes and Mr. Efren Villalobos for all their hard work in making tonight possible, our GHS Band and Flag Team for bringing the Panther spirit, Mr. O’Neil for being an awesome DJ 🎶, and Best Buddies for taking care of the concessions!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the night so special. This is what Panther Pride is all about! 🔥

It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Mr. Francisco Velez.

Mr. Velez was much more than a coach and colleague. He was a mentor, a supporter, and an important part of our Panther family. His dedication to our students and athletes, and the relationships he built throughout the years, have left a lasting impact on Gadsden High School.
We know this loss will be deeply felt by our students, staff, former students and wrestlers, families, and our entire GHS community.

Our counselors and district support personnel are available to help our students and staff as we navigate this difficult time together.

At this time, we do not have additional information to share. We ask our community to please respect the privacy of Mr. Velez’s family. We will share further information when it becomes available and with the family’s permission.

A few important reminders:

📚 Attendance matters! Classes begin at 8:45 a.m., so students should be on campus by 8:35 a.m. and ready to learn.
🚗 Starting Monday, August 24, students will not be allowed to park on campus without the proper GHS parking sticker.
👕 Parents, please help us by making sure students are following our dress code expectations. Students who are not in dress code will be asked to change or may receive a consequence following the district discipline matrix.

Such a successful car wash for our Gadsden High School Band! A huge thank you to all of our parents and families who came out to support our students and the program. And the aguas frescas were delicious!

A special thank you to Mr. Villa for his dedication to our students and our band program. Our Panthers know how to work hard and have fun while doing it!

Great day for Gadsden Soccer! Our Lady Panthers defeated Goddard and will face Las Cruces next, while our boys brought home the win against Valencia!

What a great way to start Cross Country season at Gadsden High School! Our Panthers brought home 1st place in the varsity run! 🥇 Thank you Coach Donna Aldaz for your hard work and dedication to our student-athletes.

Even better was having Gadsden, Chaparral, and Santa Teresa all together competing and supporting our student-athletes.
