Sending a huge, heartfelt, Thank You to everyone who helped pull off a successful primary election yesterday. With the help of City & County team members to set up, take down, and keep things running, Poll Workers generously spending their ENTIRE day with us, and a good neighbor stopping by to save the day, we were able to provide a positive voting experience for the residents of Harper County. Thank you to all who helped, and everyone who voted! Come back on November 3rd for the General Election!

An overdose can happen to anyone, anytime.

Maybe Grandma accidentally took her medication twice. Maybe she dropped a pill and her curious toddler granddaughter found it and swallowed it. Sometimes emergencies happen in ways we never expect.

Naloxone (Narcan) is a lifesaving medication that can quickly reverse an opioid overdose and give someone a second chance at life. It is safe, easy to use, and can be administered while waiting for emergency responders to arrive.

Think of Narcan like an EpiPen used during a severe allergic reaction—it is an emergency medication designed to help save a life when every second counts.

You never know when you may find yourself in a situation where Narcan is needed. Having it available and knowing how to use it could make all the difference.

Free Narcan is available from the dispenser located in the lobby of the Harper County Health Department, 123 N. Jennings, Anthony.

It's National EMS Week — and we have a simple ask for everyone in Harper County. 🚑

If you see one of our EMS crew members around town this week — at the gas station, grabbing coffee, or shopping at the store — stop and tell them thank you.

These folks drop everything at a moment's notice to be there on the worst day of someone's life. A simple "thank you" from a neighbor means more than you know. 🙏

To every Harper County EMS crew member: this community is grateful for you
