🚨 MISSING JUVENILE 🚨

The Medicine Lodge Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing juvenile.

Mallery Marie Herd (also known as Holloway), 15 years old, was last seen on July 16, 2026, at approximately 1:34 PM, walking west on 2nd Avenue in Medicine Lodge.

She was possibly wearing a large green hoodie and shorts.

If you have any information regarding Mallery’s whereabouts or see her, please call 911 immediately.

Good morning, Facebook viewers. The PD has recently seen an uptick in scams that consists of extortion by threat or fear. Someone will reach out to the victim, usually by text or call, using an app that disguises the true number. The suspect will tell the potential victim that their loved one is in danger, in trouble, or the potential victim themselves is in trouble. The suspect will continue with you owe me *** dollars and need to pay or else. The suspect will use information gained of that victim like address, family members, etc to show legitimacy, however this is where we all need to use caution. Do not participate in the conversation. Hang up and or not respond to the text. They are using fear to get the victim to pay. It can seem very real when the suspect has certain details of you and your household. Please call us if you feel like you have become victim of any scam.

She has been found safe and currently back in Anthony.

UPDATE: The Anthony Police Department reported that Laura Thomison, 75, of Wichita, was located and is safe. The Statewide Silver Alert is now canceled. Thanks for your assistance.

STATEWIDE SILVER ALERT - PLEASE SHARE

The Anthony Police Department requested the KBI issue a statewide Silver Alert for a missing Wichita woman last seen in Anthony, Kansas.

The whereabouts of 75-year-old Laura Thomison, are unknown, and the public’s assistance is requested to help locate her.

Thomison is likely driving a Silver 2011 Nissan Rogue bearing Kansas plate 6588AHU. She was last seen on July 12 around 8:30 p.m., and is believed to be headed to 1124 S. Pershing Ave. in Wichita, Kansas.

Thomison is a white female who is around 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds. She has gray hair and gray eyes. Thomison likely has dementia.

If you see Laura Thomison, or her vehicle, please call 911 immediately. If you have other information about her whereabouts, please call the Anthony Police Department at (620) 842-5123.

The Anthony Police Department has an immediate opening for a full-time police officer position and is offering a $1,500 sign on bonus. A new hire will receive $500 dollars when hired and $1,000 after 90 days.
Our department seeks a professional, motivated person with strong moral character, who has an interest in protecting and serving the residents of a small farming community which takes great pride in its small-town feel. Applicants should possess a community-oriented, policing mindset and desire, with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Our department is authorized to staff 5 sworn positions including the Chief of Police. Our officers work rotating 12-hour shifts that allow a 3-day weekend off every two weeks. Like most police positions, applicants will be required to work some weekends, holidays, day shift, night shift, and other varying special assignments depending on need.
We offer an excellent employee benefits package including fully paid single or family health/dental insurance, KPERS retirement, and first year employees accrue 12 hours of paid time off each month of employment. The department will pay for your attendance at the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center, and upon completion you will receive the opportunity for advanced training as you progress in your career. Most importantly, working at a small-town police department affords you the opportunity to investigate a case from the first dispatch to the jury trial. You will get the opportunity to respond to a wide variety of calls for service, investigate felony cases ranging from drug distribution to s*x offenses, write and execute search warrants, and do this all while making strong connections with your community along the way.
Starting salary is a minimum of $23.09
Minimum qualifications include a high school or GED diploma, 21-years of age at time of appointment, a valid Kansas driver’s license, no criminal record, pass an extensive background check, written aptitude test, interview board, drug screen, and psychological testing.
