On Saturday night Tom and I attended a gala for the Elderly Wish Foundation.
Most of you know, March 29th 2024 Tom and I were on a cruise he became deathly ill..Last year Tom was granted a wish from this organization. He was their recipient for this year’s event. There was a silent auction , live auction, dinner and wonderful people. It was at the Lone tree golf course here in Antioch.
The foundation grants wishes for contra costa residents who have a chronic illness or terminal illnesses. You must be 60 or older.
Tom had to give a speech. His family was ask to stand with him while he gave his speech. Our amazing daughter and our daughter in law stood with us as he spoke. We also had our wonderful friends stand with us as well. Without these women I dont know if I could have made it thru his ordeal. They heard my fears, cried with me, made me
laugh,listened to me, and shared my prays for Tom to heal anytime of day. They were my strength when I needed them most. I can not thank them enough fo being by our sides as a family. They are my sisters in Christ and friendships you can never replace.
So Liza Lucio and Babs , Jackie , Mila, and Gywen From the bottom of my heart. I love you dearly and will never forget. To the Elderly wish Foundation , you are part of Toms healing process and that means the world to us. It was a lovely event.
