Message from my foster mommy:
My foster mommy saw a shared post a little over a three weeks ago that highlighted me from Blackford Animal Shelter in Indiana. It talked about how I was a total goofball & high energy. Knowing boxers and having a high energy one herself it hit home. The post said I had been there for a year. It's a no kill shelter in rural farm country, not a lot of traffic in and out looking for dogs and my high energy came across somewhat intimidating to people who seemed interested. My foster mom offered to foster me. Her husband and she went the next weekend to pick me up. I am a typical boxer who has not been well socialized. My back story is that I was found as a stray, stayed at the shelter initially for a week and I was then claimed by my owners. I was then found again about a month later tied to the shelter fence when the staff came in one morning. I am very loving, very smart and picking up on command in a heartbeat. My faults are my fears. I am not working well with my mom others dogs. But whale working with me she sees improvements. In a home as the only dog I would be wonderful, my foster mom goal is to get me to the point of accepting all dogs.
