The City of Antioch is seeking community members interested in serving on two important City bodies:

Sales Tax Citizensโ€™ Oversight Committee โ€“ Help promote transparency and accountability by reviewing sales tax revenue and expenditures, monitoring compliance with ballot measure requirements, and providing oversight of how funds are used.

Board of Administrative Appeals (BOAA) โ€“ Help review administrative determinations, evaluate evidence and testimony, conduct public hearings, and render fair and unbiased decisions.

Serving on a City board or committee is a great way to get involved in local government, share your perspective, and contribute to the Antioch community.

๐Ÿค Building Community at the Sycamore Substation

The Sycamore Substation is becoming more than a physical space โ€” itโ€™s becoming a place for connection, support, and community resources.

This past Saturday, CareGiver OneCall launched The Sandwich Circle, a free monthly support group for family caregivers and the first of several community partnerships being hosted at the Substation.

The program marks an important step in the Cityโ€™s vision to activate the Sycamore Substation as a community hub, connecting residents in the Sycamore corridor with trusted organizations, services, and resources close to home.

Weโ€™re excited to see this space continue to grow and serve our community!

A vintage neighborhood park received a much welcomed makeover.
Jacobsen Parkโ€™s many renovations and additions were revealed on Friday afternoon to an appreciative group of families from the Garrow Estates neighborhood. ๐Ÿ› ๐Ÿง—
At one point in the 1960s this park, one of the oldest in Antioch, had a decommissioned front portion of a jet as its centerpiece attraction. Long-time residents still lovingly refer to this area as โ€œJet Park.โ€ โœˆ๏ธ
Jacobsen Park is now sure to offer new warm memories as was evident by the many children enjoying the newly installed play area. ๐Ÿ˜
Thanks to all who attended this grand opening and much appreciation to the many City of Antioch crews who made it come to life. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ
