So much has changed in our fragile world. We hope that this post finds you and your loved ones healthy during this unprecedented time.

We do not know what the future holds. However, we at ECCC are committed to continuing to fill-in the gaps in services to seniors in Franklin County. We are providing groceries for people to make lunch at home since we are unable to provide daily lunch at the Center. There have been several generous donations of boxed meals from local restaurants distributed. If you know of someone over age 55 in need, please call us at 850-370-0116 so we can get them on the distribution list and make a plan to help everyone stay safe and taken care of in their homes.

We welcome you to get involved and partner alongside of ECCC as it strengthens the mission throughout our community.

Help for Seniors:
Elder Care Community Council welcomes volunteers who want to help during this emergency.
ECCC is preparing bag lunches on Sunday afternoons and distributing them that day. ECCC is in need of sandwich meats, cheese, cookies, boiled eggs, tuna, chicken in the can, chips, drinks, peanut butter, puddings, jello, fruit cups and bread. Items such Lysol, gloves, face masks, bleach, toilet paper and paper towels are also appreciated.

Members of the Ukulele Orchestra of the Forgotten Coast got together for a jam session with the Apalachicola Ukulele Orchestra & Chorus. The melodious sounds of music floated down the hall with the acoustics provided by the high ceilings of the community room. For two hours the group played an array of songs joined also by special guest bass player, Lynn Wamp of The Von Wamps on this past Monday at 11:30 am. Join the Apalachicola Ukulele Orchestra & Chorus on Monday 11:30 am - 1:30 pm.
