Today was another success as gifts and essential items for 26 children were delivered in time for Christmas. 🎄❤️

None of this would be possible without our incredible partners — Kristin and Mark Willis, Ace Hardware, and Apalachicola Bee Company — who stepped up, took on the challenge, and made Christmas happen for so many families, even within a tight time frame.

A heartfelt thank you to Becasa for donating giftboxes, High Calling Church of Eastpoint, FL, for sponsoring the coats for each of these children, as well as to our private donors who helped provide the essential items these families needed most.

We can’t let this moment pass without recognizing Whitney Henry, who worked tirelessly to coordinate our list and deliver our first round of gifts. Whitney has been a huge part of FYE, and while she was unable to be with us today, and has relocated, we are incredibly thankful for the meaningful connections she built with families and children, and for the role she played in helping organize essential care efforts for Franklin County children.

Franklin Youth Essentials exists because of all of your year-round support. As we close out 2025 and look ahead to 2026 with even bigger plans, we wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. We are deeply thankful for every person who has contributed, shared, volunteered, or helped fill a need this year.

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of Engage Church. Because of their support, 41 children will be receiving Christmas items this week — what a beautiful blessing for these families during the holiday season.

We truly have the best donors. Thanks to the continued generosity of our community, 22 additional children will be supported throughout the week. We are so thankful for everyone who steps up to help make the holidays brighter for local families.

We are also deeply appreciative of ABC School for their amazing coat and sock drive. These donations will help keep 75 children warm throughout the winter season. What a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together.

🧥✨ Franklin Youth Essentials Annual Coat Drive is Coming Soon!

Before we start collecting coats and other items for our local youth, we need a little help getting organized! We've created a small Amazon Wishlist with items that will help us sort, store, and distribute donations more efficiently.

If you're able to contribute, we would be so grateful for your support. Every little bit helps us prepare to serve our community better this season. 💙

A huge thank you to our generous donors for helping provide for two more children on our list! We are beyond grateful for the continued support for these kiddos.

Our list is still growing, and with our jacket drive coming up, we’ll need coats in all sizes and for all genders this year.

This past weekend, we were notified of 10 children in need of essential items—with 2 of those children requiring immediate support.

Thanks to the generosity of our amazing donors, we were able to meet those urgent needs right away! ❤️

Now, we are beginning work on providing for the remaining 8 children. Our plan is to focus on 2 children per week until every need is met.

We are currently collecting gently used or new items in the following sizes:

👕 Boys – Size 14/16 (YL or YXL shirts) | Shoes: Adult 10.5
👕 Boys – Size 5 bottoms, 5/6 shirts | Shoes: Size 12
