It's been a month since Phase II of the Salem Streetscape project shifted work to the west side of the street - stop by to see the progress firsthand!
There’s plenty happening in Downtown Apex this fall, with promotional events like the Love Local Showcase, Witches Night Out, and seasonal pop-ups coming soon.
Here are a few key construction highlights and helpful reminders:
- Crews have completed the initial demolition on the west side of the street and are now installing streetlight foundations and soil cells.
- Decorative elements, including planters and street furniture, will begin taking shape on the east side of the street in the coming weeks.
- Street trees are scheduled to be planted later this fall, once cooler weather arrives.
- The stop bar at the intersection of Salem and Chatham has temporarily shifted back. Remember to make a complete stop behind the bar to help accommodate southbound traffic!
