Our 7th grade scholars in Ms. Mullich’s Writing Workshop: Children’s Book elective have been hard at work bringing their creativity to life!

This quarter, students were challenged to create their very own children’s books completely from scratch. From developing meaningful themes and lessons for young readers, to planning storyboards, writing author biographies, and illustrating each page with drawings, color, and paint — every detail was thoughtfully created by our scholars.

Today, our middle school authors proudly shared their finished books with 1st and 2nd grade scholars, and tomorrow they’ll continue the experience by reading to Kindergarten! We are so proud to offer electives that encourage creativity, leadership, collaboration, and real-world learning experiences for our middle school students. Great job, scholars, and a special thank you to Ms. Mullich for inspiring our young authors! 👏📖

✨ At the Heart of Our School ✨

This week, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on our incredible 7th Grade ELA teacher, Mrs. Mullich!💛

Mrs. Mullich brings creativity, energy, and a love for learning into her classroom every single day. When she’s not inspiring students, you might find her diving into a good book, baking something delicious, gaming, or rolling the dice in a D&D session. 🎲 She’s been dancing and even surfing since high school, and still loves hitting hip hop and contemporary dance classes!

She’s also a true foodie at heart—tacos, bún bò huế, dak-galbi, hot pot, and dim sum are just a few of her favorites—and she and her husband love exploring the world together. So far, their travels have taken them to Canada, Mexico, Korea, Japan, and across most of the U.S. 🌎✈️

With 9 years in education, Mrs. Mullich has taught grades 6–9 ELA and spent 6 summers teaching ESL to students from all over the globe—truly bringing a world of experience into her classroom!

What keeps her coming back to Peak? It’s the welcoming community and the students who inspire her daily with their creativity and thoughtful insights. 💡

As Field Day comes to a close, we want to give a very special shoutout to our incredible school nurse, Mrs. Lisa! From keeping our students safe and cared for in the heat, to making sure every little bump, scrape, and concern was handled with kindness and patience — we truly could not have done today without her.

Mrs. Lisa showed up with a smile, endless compassion, and a heart for our students all day long. Thank you for being such an essential part of our school family and for helping make Field Day a success for everyone involved!

A huge shoutout to Mr. Arana for continuing to pour into our Visionary School Garden! Thank you for taking the initiative to plant beautiful heather daisies and ge**er daisies generously donated by Ms. Smith. Your dedication and teamwork are helping our garden continue to bloom and making our school even more beautiful for our students and families! 🌼🌿

This week, we’re excited to spotlight our incredible 8th Grade ELA teacher, Ms. Beck!💙

Ms. Beck brings passion, creativity, and dedication into her classroom every single day. With 7 years in education, she has a true gift for inspiring her students and helping them grow both academically and personally.

A few fun facts about Ms. Beck:
🐾 She breeds adorable shihpoos and toy poodles
🍦 She loves Goodberry’s ice cream—no matter the season!
🎶 She’s musically inclined
📖 She’s an avid reader (no surprise there!)

What truly makes Ms. Beck special is the love she has for her students. She shares, “My amazing students are what keep me coming back to Peak each and every day. I love them so much, and I’m so proud of the improvements they have made throughout this school year.”

We are so grateful for the heart, dedication, and joy Ms. Beck brings to our school community!
