Please move over for emergency vehicles / personnel when you can. If you cannot move over, at least slow down and take caution. We need our responders to keep us all safe.....lets do what we can to keep them safe as well.

Earlier this week, a fire police officer from Donaldson Fire Company in Schuylkill County was struck and seriously injured while directing traffic for his fire company; he was flown to a medical center for treatment.

On July 24, 2021, Lower Merion Fire Department firefighter Tom Royds of the Belmont Hills Fire Department was struck and killed on the Schuylkill Expressway.

This is why awareness of the Move Over Law is so important. National Move Over Day is this Saturday, October 16.

🚨 MOVE OVER or SLOW DOWN when passing an emergency or maintenance vehicle.

If you see these insects or their egg masses, please destroy them!

📣 It's that time of year.... egg masses are starting to be found across PA!

😳 If you see a brown, mud-like substance on tree trunks or a flat surface outside, it could be a #SpottedLanternfly egg mass!

If you’re in a quarantined #badbug area, look for these masses, SCRAPE & DESTROY! They hold 30 – 50 eggs + the more we destroy now the more we decrease the population next spring!

Week 1 of National Preparedness Month - MAKE A PLAN✅

Make a plan today. Your family may not be together if a disaster strikes, so it is important to know which types of disasters could affect your area. Know how you’ll contact one another and reconnect if separated. Establish a family meeting place that’s familiar and easy to find.

Step 1: Put a plan together by discussing the questions below with your family, friends or household to start your emergency plan⤵

How will I receive emergency alerts and warnings?
What is my shelter plan?
What is my evacuation route?
What is my family/household communication plan?
Do I need to update my emergency preparedness kit?

https://www.ready.gov/plan

Stay tune for tomorrow's Step 2: Consider specific needs in your household.

First Responder Agencies🚨
There will be a “Blue Mass” scheduled at Holy Family Parish on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 7:00 PM in Seward. This event is being held to give the community a chance to express gratitude for all you do and to pray for your ongoing safety and protection.

Although Holy Family Parish is a Roman Catholic Faith Community, their prayers are not exclusively for those from one particular religious denomination, but are for all of those who serve our region in any first response capacity.
