Janet E. Lackey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

It is with sad hearts that we announce the loss of one of our longtime members, Jan Lackey. As many of you know she and her husband, Gene, owned and operated Lackey's Dairy Queen until their well-earned retirement several years ago. What many may not know is that Jan, through the AABA, was one of the very first people in the Apollo area to start a back to school event for A-R students where they were given essential school supplies donated by many local businesses and individuals.

Naser Foods

An important message from one of our longtime members.

**Can I ask my local friends to please share**
If you shop at Naser Foods, there will be some changes.
As of Monday, as per the Governor's order:

1. Our hours have changed. The new hours are:
Monday-Saturday: 8am - 8pm
Sunday: 9am-5pm
Monday and Wednesday Senior Citizens and Immunocompromised customers can shop from 7am-8am

2. We will only be permitted to use two registers. We will have lines. We have been running all four registers since this pandemic started, and we've had lines. We are apologizing in advance, but please understand that we have no other options. Please be patient and kind to our employees and to each other.

3.We are supposed to refuse entry to anybody who does not have a mask.
Again, this is not our mandate...it is the Department of Health.

4. Please limit one family member in the store. We are only allowed to have 50% of our occupancy in the store.

5. Please adhere to the 6 feet distancing guidelines.

If you are a Naser Foods customer, please know that we value you. Those are not empty words. We appreciate your business, and we try very hard to offer exceptional customer service.
As we navigate these new waters, please understand that we are doing all that we can to serve you in the most efficient way possible with the limits that have been placed on us.
It will, undoubtably, be a cause of stress and frustration for our employees and our customers. Let's be patient. Let's be kind. This won't last forever.

This is a message to all Armstrong County business owners. I highly suggest that, if you are an Armstrong County business owner, sign up for these emails. Please feel free to share this information with any business owners.

"The Armstrong County Department of Economic Development is constantly updating our email list and distributing information as it becomes available. Businesses interested in receiving updates and program information associated with services and resources during the COVID-19 pandemic, please email your contact information to [email protected]

· Last week, the PA Department of Community & Economic Development released a working capital loan program for for-profit businesses affected by the COVID-19. Called COVID-19 Working Capital Access.

· The Federal Government Approved the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act on March 27th. This act contains several programs intended to assist small business owners with immediate needs and are being administered through the Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBA is currently drafting regulations for implementing the new programs (i.e., Paycheck Protection Program, etc.). Until these regulations are in place, applications are not yet being accepted for the PPP program."

There is some very good information, and while I know at times we can all be inundated with information related to this crisis, there are some very good points made during this webinar that I feel everyone will benefit from. As always, contact our offices if you have any questions at 724-465-2511. Stay healthy!
