WHEN MOBS ATTACK!
Last, week my wife, Glenda and I decided to drive Ft. Worth to see our son's new home. The route I planned was to take I-35W through Ft. Worth. As we were packing our bags the thought came to me "what would I do if the freeway was blocked by a mob". We all have seen the news videos of rioters flooding onto the highways, breaking into vehicles and dragging the occupants out. Never in a million years would I have imagined that I would be writing about mobs attacking innocent motorists but here I am. That kind of attacks are occurring more frequent.
What would I do if the freeway is blocked by a mob? What actions should I take to keep my family safe? A protest can quickly develop into a riot and then Mob Rule takes over and there lies the danger.
There are several articles you can read and decide what actions to take. Below is a list of few actions you may consider:
1. Before leaving for your trip check the news to learn if there are areas or highways you should avoid. Consider changing your route to keep yourself and love ones out of the kill zone.
2. Keep at least 3 car lengths between you and the car in front. This should give you enough room to make a quick exit.
3. You cannot run over people for blocking the roadway. If possible, keep moving forward.
4. The situation changes if the mob attacks your vehicle. The attackers are burning your vehicle, trying to flip it over or attempting drag you or your family out. If, there is no other way out of the situation you may use deadly force against deadly force. You can assume you and your family will suffer serious bodily injury or death if you do not take immediate action. You cannot reason with the Mob Mentality and trying to do so, puts your family in danger. Remember your obligation is the protection of your family, at all cost.
5. Exiting your vehicle is the last resort.
6. If, you have the misfortune coming upon a protest, get out of the area immediately. You cannot determine when a peaceful protest will turn into a monster.
Taking a few precautions and preparing yourself and the family for the unexpected means surviving the most dangerous situations. I am not trying to scare you, but I believe you need to be prepared. The world we now live in is becoming more and more treacherous.
