How do you say goodbye to someone who has been here since before we even had a gym to work out in?

Jessica has been part of Burn Boot Camp Apple Valley since the very beginning ā€¦ showing up, pushing us, believing in us, celebrating us, and reminding us in every day that what we do inside these four walls is about so much more than a workout.

Today, we got to hear one final cool down message from a trainer who has poured so much of herself into this community.

Jess, thank you for every camp, every high five, every hard truth, every laugh, every hug, and every person you helped become a little stronger, a little more confident than they were when they walked through our doors.

ā€œI went to a friendā€™s wedding a couple summers ago and saw how much she had physically gotten stronger and her confidence had grown exceedingly! I asked her what she had been doing and she told me about Burn Boot Camp. I was immediately intrigued. I had been feeling unhealthy to the point where it was affecting my every day life. My eating habits and laziness had grown out of control. I fell into the trap that it would be too hard to fix my lifestyle. I aspire to be a strong capable mom someday, who is present and active in her familyā€™s lives. I knew I wouldnā€™t have that if I didnā€™t make a change. I joined Burn in August of 2025.

As a follower of Christ, I strive to honor the Lord in the way that he has commanded me to live. Proverbs 31 outlines a way of life for godly women. Verse 17 says, ā€œShe dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong.ā€ This amongst the many truths in this passage hit me at this time in my life. I wanted to work towards this! Burn was the place that gave me the guidance and strength to work towards this goal.

Since joining Burn, I have lost 45lbs and learned what it means to take care of my physical health and nutrition. My mindset towards food and my physical wellbeing has completely changed. I understand the importance of staying active and knowing what my body needs.

I am incredibly thankful to the trainers and the Burn environment as a whole. I am so grateful for everything they have offered me in my fitness/life journey!ā€
