Join us for our upcoming bike safety event!

Bring the kids, grab your bikes and scooters and enjoy an event focused on bike and scooter safety, skills, and community connection! Riders will have the chance to test their skills on our safety course, learn important safety tips, register their bike with the Apple Valley Police Department, and we'll provide a safety inspection of your bike/scooter/equipment.

If that's not enough to get you to come out, then have we got a deal for you! Every child participating in the event will also receive a free lunch - hotdog, chips and a drink!

Whether your child is just learning how to ride or already cruising the neighborhood, this event is a great way to build confidence and stay safe on two wheels! Don't forget to bring your bike/scooter and helmet. We hope to see you there!

We are proud of our AVPD officers who participated in the Law Enforcement United bike ride from Atlantic City, NJ to Washington, D.C. as part of National Police Week. The 215-mile bike ride is more than miles—it’s a tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives in the line of duty. As they pedal to the nation’s capital, they carry with them the memory, honor, and sacrifice of fallen officers from across the country. They ride for those who have died.

This year, seven current and two retired Apple Valley Police officers made the trek to Washington DC to honor the fallen. We’re grateful for their commitment—both on the road and here at home.
