The MWA is one of 29 State Water Contractors with access to the State Water Project. It was created by High Desert voters in 1960 and is governed by a seven-member elected Board of Directors. The Agency, in cooperation with other water districts, is responsible for managing the region’s water resources to ensure a sustainable supply of water for present and future use. Mojave Water Agency is inviting residents throughout its service area to participate in a virtual community conversation on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 5:30 p.m. as the Agency continues development of its Master Plan and looks ahead to priorities for the next five years.

Residents interested in participating are asked to register by completing a brief online survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2W3ZPWR. Those who register will receive the Zoom meeting link by email prior to the meeting.

Mojave Water Agency is seeking a Principal Engineer - Water Pipeline Infrastructure to provide senior-level technical leadership for complex capital projects, infrastructure rehabilitation, and asset management programs.

This role offers the opportunity to lead multi-phase projects, develop Agency-wide asset management and emergency response strategies, and serve as the Agency’s technical authority on water pipeline infrastructure while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, regulators, and stakeholders.

Salary: $148,219–$207,507

Mojave Water Agency is seeking a Senior Engineer - Water Pipeline Infrastructure to support the Agency’s infrastructure engineering and asset management efforts while working closely with the Engineering Manager.

This role offers the opportunity to manage medium-scale capital projects from planning through construction, evaluate water infrastructure, and support Agency planning through technical analysis, asset management, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Salary: $121,651–$170,311

For 20 years, the conference has brought together government officials, water management leaders, business leaders, and community stakeholders to share ideas and best practices for meeting the region’s growing water needs while protecting our natural resources.
