Riverside County’s Youth Opportunity Centers support young people ages 16–24 with paid work experience, educational support, job search assistance, resume and interview prep, tutoring, volunteer opportunities, and more, all part of Riverside County Workforce Development’s mission to empower our future leaders.

With access to computers, work readiness training, and internship programs, the centers help youth gain the skills they need to enter the workforce and reach their full potential. Many go on to become leaders in their schools and communities.

San Bernardino County Regional Parks along with the office of Fourth District Supervisor Curt Hagman will host the 5th annual Family Fish & Wildlife Festival at Prado Regional Park on Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The festival is a family-friendly event that provides hands-on fishing workshops with fishing supplies provided, live demonstrations, animal exhibits, food booths, live music by the J-Birds, and more.

Local vendors, such as Bass Pro Shops, California Department of Fish & Wildlife (CDFW), Chino Valley Fire Department and many more will be on site to greet eventgoers and offer prize giveaways.

Activities include archery lessons, games, arts & crafts and more.

Fishing workshop will provide free rods as well as gear and bait for those who want to learn how to fish.

The CDFW will stock 1,000 lbs. of catfish prior to the event. No fishing license or park fishing permit will be required for those attending the event workshops. NOTE: Anyone who wants to fish outside the workshop event area will be required to have a valid park fishing permit and fishing license.

We encourage eventgoers to bring their own chairs, food and snacks and spend the day with us. Food trucks will be on site for hungry appetites as well.

All ages are welcome! Leashed pets are welcome too!

Park admission is $15 per vehicle and free for those camping with us. Tickets can be purchased online at www.parkreservations.sbcounty.gov/san-bernardino/programs
