This year tested me in ways I didn’t expect, and rewarded me in ways I never imagined. I lost my dad, and his influence is still woven into everything I do. He taught me to pursue what I was called to do, to serve others, to be a paramedic, and to take pride in work that truly matters. Over the past four years, Watson’s Leather has been built one piece at a time, and this year it grew far beyond anything I anticipated, with gear now being carried not just across the United States, but in four countries beyond it. That’s something I don’t take lightly. People around the world are trusting me with their gear in the most critical moments of their careers, and that trust means everything to me. From radio straps to truck belts, from glove straps to chin straps, I’m deeply grateful for the support, the trust, and the belief in my work. Thank you for carrying Watson’s Leather and for allowing my small shop to be part of your job. From the bottom of my heart, Merry Christmas.

I’m fired up to finally start rolling out the newest avenue of Watson’s Leather with custom equine gear, starting with these hand-crafted nose bands for horse harnesses and bridles. These first pieces feature full-grain leather, clean hand-set hardware, and custom painted lettering with sharp contrast that’s built to stand out without sacrificing durability, whether it’s the bold RUNNER piece or the blacked-out IZZY setup paired with green webbing and brass hardware. This is just the beginning. Bridles, harness components, and leads are officially on the bench, with complete bridles coming very soon and full photo sets to follow as they come together. If you’ve got horses, there’s a lot more gear on the way, all built with the same mindset I use for my fire gear: functional, tough, and good-looking without being overdone. Saddles? Not yet… but never say never.

This is a small change with a big purpose behind it. The original radio bucket design isn’t going anywhere, it’s proven, solid, and has served a lot of people well. This new version is about taking what worked and refining it based on real use and real feedback. The larger ring at the top lets you leave your seat strap connected when getting in and out of the apparatus while using your seatbelt. Instead of fighting it, you can simply rotate the bucket and keep moving. It’s just as strong as the original, still fits the same radios, and keeps the same universal sizing with shock cord on the back to hold everything securely in place. This is my way of learning from the old ways, improving where it makes sense, and continuing to move Watson’s Leather forward. Always paying attention, always adapting, and always trying to stay ahead of the game for the people who trust their gear to me.

This one keeps it rooted in tradition with just the right amount of character. Black leather paired with red stitching sets the foundation, red lettering outlined in white keeps it sharp and readable, and the antique copper hardware gives it that worn-in, old-firehouse feel right out of the gate. Finished with stamped details that add meaning without clutter, this setup feels solid, intentional, and built for someone who plans on wearing it for a long time. Nothing trendy, nothing flashy, just gear that looks right and works hard.

These two hit a little different. Hilton is a good friend of mine and one of the people who encouraged me right at the beginning, back when this was just an idea and a couple tools on a bench. He was one of the first guys I ever made a gear locker tag for, and he kept it on his locker for years with pride, which meant more to me than he probably realized. Brennan is someone I was a probie with, not even on the same crew, but still part of that shared grind where you’re learning, screwing things up, and figuring out who you are in this job. Seeing both of these names on clean, matching locker tags is a reminder that this trade, like the fire service, is built on friendships, brotherhood, and people who show up for each other. Grateful for the ones who believed early, and just as grateful for the ones who walked the same road alongside me.

Black leather, red stitching, and red lettering outlined in white, paired up with a matching gear locker tag to finish the set the right way. The strap keeps it clean and readable with stamped details that add meaning without clutter, while the locker tag ties everything together so the whole setup feels intentional from top to bottom. Nothing flashy, nothing overdone, just solid gear that looks right on the job and still hits every time you walk past your locker. Built to work, built to last, and built to match.

This one’s clean, personal, and grounded. Black leather with red stitching keeps it classic, red lettering outlined in white gives it clear contrast, and the stamped cross adds a quiet but meaningful detail that says a lot without needing to be loud. Finished with black hardware to keep everything uniform and work-ready, this setup is about purpose as much as appearance and built to be worn every shift.

This one leans hard into attitude without losing the clean, professional feel. Black leather with red stitching throughout, bold red lettering outlined in white, and custom icon work to give it some bite. Black hardware keeps everything tight and uniform, while the details do the talking. It’s the kind of strap that stands out without trying too hard and looks just as good on the rig as it does hanging in the station. Built tough, worn proud, and made to be unmistakably personal.
