Do you ever wish you could talk to another parent who knows what you're going through? WIC peer counselors are parents with personal breastfeeding experience and have training in lactation and breastfeeding support. They have been there and can provide help and advice.
Over text, phone, or in person, WIC can connect you with free one-to-one support from trained lactation experts and breastfeeding peer counselors.

Kids don't need to get sick to be healthy. Just about 100 years ago, about one-third of children died before reaching adulthood.

Many used to die before their fifth birthday, and infectious diseases were the top cause of death.

But has made an impact. With vaccines, antivirals, antibiotics, hygiene and sanitation, and more, the number of deaths has drastically decreased. We have to continue to take preventative measures, like immunization, to keep our populations healthy. Talk with your healthcare provider about which vaccines are right for you and your family.

Seventeen Wisconsinites have become sick, including one who was hospitalized, with Salmonella and/or E. coli after eating alfalfa sprouts from Calco and Everything Sprouts brands.
The sprouts were distributed to restaurants and grocery stores. Check if you have them in the house and don’t eat.
