Today, surrounded by donors and community partners, Friends of High Cliff State Park gathered for the dedication of the Lime Kiln Trail waterfall area and stairs. This celebration marks the completion of the Waterfall Area improvements and replacement of the Mid and Upper Trail Stairs as part of the Lime Kiln Trail restoration project at High Cliff State Park!

The Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region partners with donors, professional advisors, and nonprofits to ensure creativity continues to thrive, now and for future generations.

Recently, our Director of Gift Planning, Michelle Lippart Hardwick, and Fund Advisor and Professional Advisor, David Lardinois, CFP, joined WHBY Focus Fox Valley guest host, Micke, to talk about the relationship between Professional and Financial Advisors and the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.

"My clients love that they can call a 920 area-code rather than a 1-800 number," shared David. "And talk to someone, sit across the table from someone, who's really interested in having that conversation about what's important to you, what are your wants and your wishes when it comes to your charitable donor dollars."

Last month, the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance hosted their yearly cleanup day to keep our watershed clean and healthy. Our environment benefits from actions big and small in an effort to maintain our beautiful green spaces in the great Fox Valley area.

We are proud to have been a Cleanup Sponsor of this event through the Community Vision Fund within the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region. This fund supports nonprofits through grants that fall into one of these 5 categories:

She breaks down the results of a recent survey they conducted, explains the next steps, and shares that one of their community funds, the Nelson Fund, won the prestigious Wisconsin Parks and Recreation Association award.

Cheers to 25 years!

President and CEO, Curt Detjen, celebrated his 25th anniversary with the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region this past February. This week, board members, staff, friends, and family gathered to toast to his past two and a half decades of leadership.

"It is honestly humbling to think about being with an organization and having this opportunity to make a difference in this way for 25 years. In so many ways though, I mean, we have grown a lot, we have helped a lot of people accomplish their goals and make the community better in so many ways. But in so many ways, it feels like we have not even gotten started.”

Thank you for all you have done to support a flourishing Fox Valley Region and as we look forward, we know the best is yet to come.

The Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region supports our staff to get in the weeds and support our nonprofits through dedicated volunteer hours. We are excited to see the seeds of kindness grow into a flourishing garden because together, we flourish.
