Appleton East High School is proud to host our annual East Tackles Cancer football game on Friday, September 25, 2026, as we take on Hortonville and unite for a cause bigger than football.

This year, all proceeds will benefit Portia’s Purpose, an organization dedicated to supporting Wisconsin families impacted by pediatric cancer. Through the combined efforts of our DECA chapter, football program, students, staff, and community, we hope to make an even greater impact.

Last year, our community showed incredible generosity, and we’re looking for local businesses and organizations to help us make this year’s event our biggest one yet. Sponsorship opportunities are available at the Gold, Silver, and Bronze levels, with recognition on event shirts, promotional materials, and at the game.

The Wisconsin School Music Association State Honors Band boasts THREE Appleton East musicians this year! Alex Hurley, Sebastian Brown, and Brady Koplitz represented East with pride at this morning’s “Work-In-Progress” concert, which culminated the 3-Day Honors Camp experience on the UW-Eau Claire campus. The official concert is in October at the Overture Center in Madison as a part of the state music teachers’ conference. Way to go, boys! 🎶❤️🤍💙🎶

It is with great excitement that we announce Sam Herrmann as the new Associate Principal of Activities and Athletic Director at Appleton East High School.

A proud graduate of Appleton East and a product of the Appleton Area School District, Sam brings a strong connection to our school community and a passion for supporting students both inside and outside the classroom.

Please join us in welcoming Sam to his new role at Appleton East. We are excited for the leadership, energy, and vision he will bring to our students, staff, and community.

🍎 No need to sign up or register, just stop at any participating schools during breakfast and/or lunch times.
🍔 Children do not need to be a current AASD student to get a FREE meal.
