A huge thank you to the Herb Kohl Philanthropies & Herb Kohl Educational Foundation for supporting us through their generous grant award.

Because of this funding, we are able to provide books, educational materials, and supportive resources to individuals and families impacted by trauma, crisis, and victimization. These materials help victims better understand trauma, begin the healing process, and feel supported during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

We are incredibly grateful for this investment in compassionate care and for helping us continue to support our community. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of those we serve!

During National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, we recognize the power and importance of listening to victims.

Listening is more than hearing words—it is believing, validating, and creating space for victims to share their experiences without judgment. When victims are heard, it helps restore a sense of control that trauma often takes away, reduces isolation, and supports healing.

Active, empathetic listening also helps build trust, strengthens safety planning, and ensures victims receive support based on their actual needs—not assumptions. When we listen, we help prevent secondary victimization and promote more just, compassionate, and victim-centered outcomes.

Every survivor deserves to be heard. Every voice matters. And every act of listening can be a step toward healing. 💙

A huge thank you to the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region and Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group for helping fund fleece jackets for our volunteer responders through the Our Local Love Foundation grant! 💚

Because of this support, our responders will stay warm while providing compassionate, on-scene support to victims and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Our volunteers respond day and night, in all kinds of weather, to make sure no one faces a traumatic crisis alone.

Last night, members of the Unison team were proud to support the Greater Fox Cities Chapter of Credit Unions at their monthly meeting, hosted at Holidays Pub & Grill- Appleton.

Unison was honored to serve as one of the host credit unions for an evening focused on advocacy and strategies that strengthen the credit union movement. We also appreciated hearing valuable insights from The Wisconsin Credit Union League.

Raffle proceeds from the night were donated to Fox Cities Victim Crisis Response Team, supporting an organization that makes a meaningful impact in our community.
