Looking for a safe trick or treat experience? All friendly ghosts and princesses, witches and monsters are invited to the annual Trick or Treat at Evans Towne Center on October 20th from 5:30-8:00pm. Be sure to look out for the 4-H treat station!

TONIGHT!!! Want to get involved with 4-H? Come check out our 4-H Open House on Thursday, October 1st from 6-8pm at our office in Appling! We'll have information on specialty clubs for grades 4-12, a scavenger hunt, shirt sales, and more! Meet the staff, and learn more about all of the fun things we have to offer.

For our final Team Member Tuesday, we have our 4-H Agent, Miss Lauren- and it just so happens her birthday is today!

Lauren is a lifelong 4-H'er who actually grew up in Columbia County 4-H, and has been agent since 2022. She actually got her job offer while serving as a 4-H volunteer at Camp Wahsega! With 25 years of 4-H memories, it's hard to choose one favorite, but she loves going to summer camp every year (she went to 3 weeks this past summer!). In her free time, Lauren loves to read, build Lego, and listen to heavy metal. Her favorite quote comes from Oscar Wilde, "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." A fun fact about Lauren is that while she has several cow pictures in her office, she's actually scared of them in real life!

Thanks for joining us in introducing our 4-H Staff! We can't wait to see you all this year!

TOMORROW!
Calling all 3rd-5th graders for one of our ~newest~ clubs- the Cloverleaf Community Club at the Grovetown Library! This club is free to join with no registration necessary. This month's meeting will be Tuesday, September 29th from 5:30-6:45pm. Join us as we Power Up! and learn about healthy habits while making a snack to take home. Join us each month for a different and exciting topic!

It's Team Member Tuesday, and today is all about our 4-H Educator, Kimberly! While she didn't grow up in 4-H, Kimberly has been working with us since 2023, and both of her kids are very active 4-H'ers. Her favorite 4-H memories are watching 4-H'ers find new things they enjoy and trying things they may be nervous about. Kimberly is a little bit of a nerd- check out the amazing family Halloween costumes from over the years- so it's no surprise that her favorite quote comes from The Hobbit, "You certainly usually find something, if you look, but it is not always quite the something you were after." Kimberly has so many fun facts that it's hard to choose just one (including having lived in Hawaii), but most people know how much she loves animals. From capybaras to belugas, koalas to dogs, there isn't a single animal she doesn't love!

TODAY!! COME OUT AND SEE US!!
It's fall cleaning season, and we've got lots of stuff to clear out in our 4-H Yard Sale! From vases to coolers, screwdrivers to hand tools, we have a lot! Send your favorite hobbyist out to look at the leftover robotics and electronics materials, it's all got to go! This fundraiser will support Columbia County 4-H and our LifeSmarts teams.
