Dont forget to vote on Nov 4th. I am happy to share I will be running as a write-in vote for Claridon Twp Trustee.. As you all know, I served two terms as an Aquilla Village Councilwoman and hope to get your votes to continue to not only represent the villages needs after the separation but also the entire twp. The election is November 4th. I am including instructions on how to do a write-in vote for those who have never done it before. Feel free to contact me with any of your concerns not only for Aquilla Village but for the twp as a whole. You can contact me here and include your number as I am happy to call you. Please understand. I do not wish to post my personal number at this time, but once voted in, I will be happy to share it. Thank you for your support.
How To Cast A Write-In Vote

1. On your ballot, find the office for which the candidate is running Claridon Twp Trustee

2. Print or write the candidate's name on the Write-in line for that office. Elizabeth Savel

3. Fill in the oval next to the candidate's name.

Hello Formar Aquilla village residents. Santa will be coming around the neighborhood on Sunday December 15th. He will arrive on a fire truck like normal at 12 noon. Please listen for the sirens and after we go around the neighborhood we will meet at the old village hall for pictures with Santa and cookies and hot cocoa. If you have a pet that would like to visit Santa we ask that you stay outside with them and we will bring Santa to you. Have a wonderful holiday season and see you next weekend.

Just a quick reminder the final leave pick up will be next Monday, November 25. Make sure you have your leaves to the road side of the ditch. It’s OK if they’re in the ditch they just won’t be able to reach them on the other side of the ditch.

On another note, today is the official last day of Aquilla Village. Thank you again to all of the residents voted, thank you to all of the council members and the mayor for all of your years of hard work. Like stated in a previous message this was not easy for a lot of residents to give up control to Claridon. If you have any issues, please reach out to Claridon Townhall for any problems that you have, such as snowplowing issues, road issues, anything like that needs to be addressed directly with Claridon we are no longer able to communicate as a whole. We are all individual now we all need to stand up and speak up for ourselves moving forward.

Thank you to all the voters who came out to vote on Tuesday. Thank you for supporting this merge with Claridon. We know it was not an easy decision, one that we all struggled with. It is time for a new chapter for Aquilla Village. We have one final meeting before we can no longer conduct business. That meeting will be on Friday November 15th. We will be forming a committee to make contact with Claridon after we absorb to notify them of any issues the village will have. If you are interested in joining that committee please reach out. Thank you all again.

Hello Aquilla Village Residents. This year Halloween falls on a Thursday. We will have trick or treaters from 5:30-7:30 pm. We will do it the same a Chardon. Remember if you are not handing out treats for our little ghosts and goblins please turn you porch lights off.
