Our kindergarten kiddos celebrated the 50th Day of School by taking a trip back to the fabulous 1950s! From their adorable outfits to all the fun festivities, it was a rockin’ good time! 🎸💗 We’re halfway to 100 days and having a blast along the way! 🎉

💻 While you're here, be sure to stop by the computer lab downstairs! Parents will have the opportunity to use the computers and receive a tutorial on how to access Clever at home and explore the many resources available to help support their child's learning.

🌎 These resources also offer support in different languages, allowing families to read and listen to lessons in their native language!

🐊💚🎃 Alligator Allies Making a Difference, One Voice at a Time! 🎃💚🐊

Today, a few of our amazing Alligator Ally Club members got together for a very special project! 💚 They worked hard to create adaptive Halloween buckets for some of our friends who face challenges with verbal communication! 🎃🍬

Did you know that October is AAC Awareness Month? 🗣️💬 AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication, and it helps individuals who have difficulty speaking express their wants, needs, thoughts, and feelings. Communication devices and tools give our friends a way to share their voices with the world! 💕

Thanks to our thoughtful Alligator Allies, some of our friends will be able to join in the Halloween fun by communicating phrases like “Trick or Treat!” 🍬, “Happy Halloween!” 🎃, and “Thank You!” 💚

We are SO incredibly proud of these students for showing kindness, compassion, and inclusion! They are learning that everyone deserves to be heard, every voice matters, and communication comes in MANY different forms! 🥹💚

Sometimes being an ally means helping someone find their voice, and our Alligator Allies are doing just that! 🐊💚

Red Ribbon Week is October 26-30th!

Please remember that school uniform policies must be adhered to on Dress Up Days! This includes school appropriate shoes, no hooded shirts or onesies, no masks or face coverings and no inflatable costumes.

We look forward to a fun filled week celebrating making healthy and safe choices!

Monday 10/26- REDy to Make Good Choices: Wear Red in support of Red Ribbon Week.

Tuesday 10/27 - Character Counts: Wear a school appropriate outfit inspired by your favorite books, movie or TV show character.

Wednesday 10/28 - Future is Too Bright for Drugs: Wear neon colored clothing or sunglasses.

Thursday 10/29 - Dreaming of a Drug Free Future: Wear school appropriate PJ’s. School shoes must be worn.

Friday 10/3 - Say Boo to Drugs: Wear your favorite Halloween themed, black or orange shirt with jeans, joggers or leggings.

🌊🐠 Under the Sea Day in 3rd Grade! 🐬🪸
Our third graders had a FIN-tastic day on Friday celebrating all they’ve learned from their Sea Unit in ELA! 🐙💙
They kicked off their morning with a special visit to the Maumus Center, where students dove deeper into learning about coral reefs and the amazing life beneath the waves! 🪸🐢 They continued the ocean fun back at school with an exciting Under the Sea celebration! 🦀🐚
What a wonderful way to bring their learning to life and make a splash with some unforgettable memories! 🌊💙

🏛️Our 2nd graders had a blast celebrating the completion of their domains on Ancient Greece and Greek Myths! From creating their very own shields 🛡️ to competing in outdoor Olympic Games 🏅 and even enjoying the movie Hercules, our students had a day full of fun, creativity, and adventure! Mrs. Mann’s class had a GOURD-geous day at the pumpkin patch! 🎃🚜

We teamed up with our friends from Lacoste, Gauthier, and Meraux Elementary Schools for a day filled with fall fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories! 🧡

From hayrides 🚜 and pumpkin picking 🎃 to making new friends and enjoying all the fall festivities, our little pumpkins had an absolute BLAST! 🍁🥰

There’s nothing sweeter than watching friendships grow, smiles shine, and memories being made beyond the classroom! 💛
