What a great first day at AMS!
We were so excited to welcome back all of our students and kick off another wonderful school year together! We were also honored to welcome special guests, including Dr. Heiser, who helped make our first day even more memorable.

A huge shout-out to our incredible teachers and staff! Their hard work preparing for the new school year made this first day a success. We are so grateful for everything they do for our students and our school community!

Learn English & Support Your Child’s Education!

Arbutus Middle School is excited to host the CCBC Family Literacy ESOL Program this fall!
This FREE program gives parents and caregivers the opportunity to learn English while also learning ways to support their child’s education and success in school.

Classes: Mondays & Wednesdays, September–November
Time: Mornings
Location: Arbutus Middle School
Registration: Wednesday, September 2, beginning at 9:30 AM at Arbutus Middle School.

As we prepare for a great start to the school year, please review these important transportation reminders:

Car Riders
• Use the rear car rider loop for drop-off 8:10am and pick-up promptly at 3:05 pm.
• Do not enter the bus loop between 7:40-8:30 a.m. and 2:40-3:30 p.m.
• Please do not make U-turns on Shelbourne Road, it is not safe for our students.
• Do not drop students off in the middle of the road, it is also not safe.

Bus Riders
• View your child's bus assignment, stop location, and times in Focus at www.bcps.org/parents under the Transportation tab.
• Arrive at the bus stop 10 minutes early.
• During the first week of school, buses may experience minor delays. Please be patient and prepared.

Thank you for helping us ensure a safe and smooth arrival and dismissal process for all students. We look forward to a fantastic school year!
